Female Student Shares Terrifying Experience After Being Harassed by Motorcycle Rider in Bacolod City
A female student in Bacolod City was allegedly harassed by a motorcycle rider while walking along the road in broad daylight.
The student, who was wearing her school uniform, was walking on the sidewalk when a man riding a motorcycle suddenly stopped beside her. CCTV footage from the area showed the rider talking to the girl.
The suspect’s face was not clearly seen because he was wearing a helmet. What appeared to be a normal conversation quickly turned into something disturbing. Without warning, the man leaned toward the student and kissed her.
“Huminto siya at sinabihan akong kilala daw niya sina mama at papa. Maya-maya pa, bigla na lang niya akong hinalikan at niyakap. Tinitigan ko siya, parang wala naman akong kakilalang ganito,” the victim said.
The victim later shared that the rider also hugged her and acted inappropriately, leaving her shocked and confused. While some details were not clearly visible in the video, the fear and distress experienced by the student were evident.
The incident happened near the barangay hall of Barangay 17, a place where people usually feel safe.
The student’s mother was deeply shaken after learning what happened. She immediately went to the police to report the incident, worried about her child’s emotional well-being. According to her, her daughter became very anxious and traumatized after the encounter.
Police authorities confirmed that they have already identified a person of interest and are now coordinating with the victim for proper confirmation. Investigators are also checking if the same rider may be linked to similar harassment reports in nearby barangays.
Barangay officials expressed their support for the victim and her family. They committed to helping them get psychological first aid through proper government agencies. The barangay also plans to work with parents and the community to raise awareness and teach children how to respond to similar situations.
