Riding-in-Tandem Steals Limited Edition Motorcycle From Young Couple
A young couple became victims of a robbery carried out by two riding-in-tandem suspects in Barangay San Vicente, Angono.
The couple was eating in front of a small store when two motorcycles suddenly stopped near them. Each motorcycle had a driver and a back rider. The suspects were wearing helmets and face masks, making it hard to identify them.
Based on CCTV footage, the men quickly declared a holdup and warned the victims not to move. One of the suspects reportedly threatened to shoot them, causing fear not only to the couple but also to the store owner, who immediately sat down in panic.
The suspects moved fast and took the couple’s valuables. They grabbed two expensive mobile phones, a wallet, and a limited-edition motorcycle that was newly released. The stolen items were estimated to be worth around P200,000.
Barangay officials believe the motorcycle may have been the main target, as it was a version 3 limited edition model and parked in a quiet and slightly dark area.
“Ang target talaga nila siguro ay ‘yung motor kasi bagong labas na version 3 limited edition. Medyo tahimik doon at may part na madilim. Nagkaroon sila ng pagkakataon, nai-spottan ‘yung motor,” Kagawad Gerry Alfonso said.
After the incident was reported by a concerned citizen, barangay officers immediately responded and assisted the victims. They accompanied the couple to the police station to file a report.
Police used a GPS tracking app from the stolen mobile phones to follow the suspects’ possible route. Authorities were able to track movements leading toward areas like Makati and Taguig before the signal was lost.
It was already the third robbery incident reported in the area, prompting barangay officials to strengthen patrol operations. Meanwhile, the Angono Police continue their follow-up operations to identify and arrest the suspects.
