Edu Manzano criticized Cong. Martin Romualdez
Veteran actor and TV host Edu Manzano reacted to the recent statement of former House Speaker and Leyte 1st District Rep. Martin Romualdez.
Edu is one of the showbiz personalities who vocally expresses thoughts about politics and social issues. He uses his social media page to share his reactions and to criticize certain individuals or groups.
Just recently, the veteran actor-TV host once again shared his thoughts on what Rep. Romualdez recently said. Edu shared a photo of the lawmaker with the text “‘We must unite and heal as a nation.’”
However, below the congressman’s photo, it was written, “Architect of the problem, now spokesman for ‘healing.’ Ayos. Kumpleto ang cycle.”
In the caption of his post, Edu Manzano wrote, “MAY TAMA KA BA! ISA KA NGA SA MGA DAHILAN KUNG BAKIT TAYO NAGKAGANITO!!”
In the comment section of his post, many netizens agreed with Edu. They also criticized the congressman. Here are some comments.
It was reported in December 2025 that Romualdez was among 86 individuals to be indicted before the end of the year. He is one of the lawmakers named by contractor Curlee Discaya, who allegedly received a percentage of the funds from contracts for anomalous flood control projects.
However, just recently, according to Tingog Party-list Rep. Jude Acidre, the Independent Commission for Infrastructure (ICI) allegedly found no liability in Cong. Martin Romualdez regarding the anomalous flood control projects.
Previously, the veteran actor-TV host also had a viral comment on Romualdez’s weight loss. “When the whole country knows what you did, the results are better than Ozempic,” he posted. Edu apparently believes that the congressman was involved in the corruption issue.
Meanwhile, Edu Manzano just recently shared the current status of his love life. He is now in a relationship with Tech CEO Ann Cuisia, whom he introduced as his life partner.
