LTO Issues Show Cause Order Against Taxi Driver for Tearing Traffic Citation Ticket
A taxi driver is now facing serious consequences after tearing up a traffic citation ticket right in front of an enforcer.
Recently, the Facebook page Land Transportation Office has issued a Show Cause Order (SCO) against a taxi driver for disrespecting a traffic enforcer. The post garnered various reactions from the online community.
According to the agency, the driver’s behavior showed clear disrespect for legal authority. For licensed drivers, following traffic rules and respecting enforcers is part of their responsibility on the road.

LTO issued a show cause order against the driver. The registered owner of the taxi, along with the driver, was instructed to appear before the Intelligence and Investigation Division on April 15.
They were asked to explain why the driver’s license should not be suspended or permanently revoked. Authorities are now considering whether the driver is still fit to operate a motor vehicle.
While the investigation is ongoing, the driver has been ordered to surrender his license. It will be placed under a 90-day preventive suspension. The vehicle involved in the incident has also been flagged by the agency as part of the case.
Some people expressed frustration over the driver’s actions, while others pointed out the importance of staying calm during traffic situations. No matter the circumstances, authorities reminded the public that proper conduct is expected from all drivers.
The Land Transportation Office also took this opportunity to remind motorists about the importance of respecting traffic laws and the people who enforce them.
