During House Hearing, Ramil Madriaga Speaks on Duterte Siblings Paolo, Sebastian
Ramil Madriaga claimed that former President Rodrigo Duterte allegedly tagged his sons Paolo and Baste as “baliw” and “bading” respectively.
The House of Representatives’ Committee on Justice continued its impeachment proceedings on the complaints against Vice President Sara Duterte. Two impeachment raps against the Vice President were found sufficient in form, substance, and grounds.
Here are the grounds cited in one of the impeachment complaints against Vice Pres. Duterte that were found sufficient in form, substance, and grounds by the House panel:
- Alleged culpable violation of the Constitution and betrayal of public trust, and other high crimes in amassing and converting the amount over PHP 500 million confidential funds (CF) allocated to the Office of the Vice President from 2022 to 2023
- Alleged culpable violation of the Constitution and betrayal of public trust, and other high crimes in amassing and converting the amount of not less than PHP 112.5 million of confidential funds allocated to the Department of Education (DepEd) for the year 2023
- Alleged culpable violation of the Constitution and betrayal of public trust by corrupting and bribing officials of the DepEd
- Alleged culpable violation of the Constitution, betrayal of public trust, and other high crimes in contracting to murder or assassinate the president, the first lady, and the former speaker of the House
- Alleged culpable violation of the Constitution and betrayal of public trust in amassing unexplained wealth and failing to disclose all her properties and interests in properties in her SALN
- Alleged culpable violation of the Constitution and betrayal of public trust in committing acts of political destabilization and the high crimes of sedition and insurrection
The House Justice panel continued its proceedings despite the Congressional recess. It has already conducted two (2) impeachment hearings. However, the Vice President has skipped both hearings and only her lawyer, Atty. Michael Poa, appeared during the second impeachment hearing.
Aside from the camp of the Vice President, Ramil Madriaga who is allegedly a former aide of former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte and the alleged bagman of Vice Pres. Sara Duterte also appeared at the hearing. He made several accusations against the Vice President.
During the House Committee on Justice’s hearing, Madriaga also claimed that former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte’s alleged favorite child is Vice Pres. Sara Duterte. According to him, the former Chief Executive have allegedly references to his two (2) sons, Davao Congressman Paolo Duterte and Davao Mayor Baste Duterte.
Based on a post of News5, Ramil Madriaga claimed that former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte allegedly tagged Davao Mayor Baste Duterte as “Bading”. As for Cong. Pulong, the former Chief Executive supposedly described him as “Baliw”.
“PRRD (President Rodrigo Roa Duterte) also asked me to profile individuals associated with Sara because she is his favorite among his children. PRRD wanted Sara in politics instead of Paolo Duterte (‘Polong’) and Sebastian Duterte (‘Baste’) who he characterized as ‘baliw’ and ‘bading’, respectively.” the affidavit of Madriaga read.
The alleged bagman of Vice Pres. Sara Duterte claimed that it is VP Sara who former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte really wants to enter politics. It is contrary to former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte previously calling on Vice Pres. Sara Duterte to leave politics as fast as she can.
