SUV Driver Flees After Fueling Up Without Paying in Bacolod City
An SUV driver is now being investigated after leaving a gas station in Barangay Taculing, Bacolod City without paying for fuel worth P6,000.
On the evening of April 15, 2026, an SUV driver flees after fueling up at a gasoline station without paying. The authorities quickly caught the attention of the incident.
According to the Land Transportation Office in the Negros Island Region, the vehicle involved has already been identified. The registered owner is expected to receive a show cause order as part of the investigation.

However, authorities are still trying to determine who was actually driving the SUV at the time of the incident.
Reports say the driver filled up the vehicle and then suddenly sped away, leaving the station without settling the bill. This kind of act, often called fuel-and-run, has become a growing concern for gas station operators.
It not only causes financial loss but also raises safety and security issues in the area.

In a separate incident, another vehicle was reported to have taken fuel worth around P7,000 from a gas station in Talisay City.
The driver also escaped without paying, and it was discovered that the vehicle’s plate number had been covered with plastic, possibly to avoid being identified.
Authorities are now looking into whether the two incidents could be connected. Investigators are reviewing available footage and gathering more details to track down those responsible.
The Land Transportation Office reminded vehicle owners to be responsible and aware of how their vehicles are being used. They also warned that similar actions could lead to serious penalties, including fines and possible legal charges.
As the investigation continues, gas station operators are being encouraged to stay alert and strengthen their safety measures to prevent similar incidents. The public is also urged to report any suspicious activity to help authorities maintain order and accountability on the roads.
