OCTA Research Releases Results of Survey on Performance of Marcos Jr. as PH President

MARCOS JR. – The performance rating of President Bongbong Marcos goes up based on the latest survey conducted by OCTA Research.

Pres. Bongbong Marcos is currently more than half of his term as the country’s chief executive. Amid the many problems in the government now, he is vocal about his goals and aspirations as the country’s leader.

Marcos Jr. wants to end hunger in the Philippines by 2028. He previously stressed that while the government cannot control the oil prices in the global market, there are ways that it can do to lessen the prices of food in the country.

The President also vowed that those who are responsible over the supposed multi-billion flood control corruption will be held accountable. Malacañang recently reiterated that the Chief Executive remains committed and firm on holding the culprits accountable.

On the other side, Pres. Bongbong Marcos is also faced with many different and big accusations — the alleged illegal drug use and the supposed involvement in the corruption in the government being among the accusations. It was no other than his sister, Senator Imee Marcos, who accused him of allegedly using illegal drugs.

Sen. Imee Marcos, speaking in front of thousands of members of Iglesia ni Cristo, claimed that their family has allegedly long knew about the problem with her brother. She called on the President to go home and undergo treatment.

For several months, the trust and performance ratings of Marcos Jr. continuously declined. The Palace has always been vocal that survey results do not affect the President who is focused in his work.

Recently, the results of a survey conducted by the OCTA Research did not show a decline but an increase in the performance rating of Pres. Ferdinand Marcos Jr. Based on a report on GMA News, the result of the survey that was conducted from March 19 to 25, 2026 yield a result of 55 percent.

The recent performance rating of Marcos Jr. is 4 percentage points higher compared to the rating recorded in the fourth quarter of 2025 which was at 51%. Based on the report, the highest performance rating of the President is in Balance Luzon and Visayas at 56% while the lowest is in the National Capital Region (NCR) at 53% and Mindanao at 51%.

Furthermore, the OCTA survey also showed that 26% of adult Filipinos are unsatisfied with Marcos Jr.’s performance while 19% are undecided. Aside from his performance rating, the trust rating of the President also rose from 48% to 54%.

Recently, amid the calls for accountability over the flood control mess, Pres. Bongbong Marcos vowed to bring home Zaldy Co. The former Congressman was recently arrested in Prague as per the President.
