Vice Pres. Sara Duterte Issues Statement over Former Sen. Antonio Trillanes
SARA DUTERTE – The Vice President claimed that former Senator Antonio Trillanes IV is allegedly supported by a “sitting President” amid his accusations against their family.
Former Sen. Antonio Trillanes is one of the staunch critic of the Duterte administration and the Dutertes. Trillanes has even previously filed charges against former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte and Senator Bong Go over infrastructure projects. He also claimed that Duterte allies Sen. Go and Sen. Bato dela Rosa will also be allegedly investigated by the International Criminal Court (ICC).

Ahead of the 2028 elections, Trillanes previously urged the supporters of the Marcos Jr. administration and the Kakampink to unite for an alleged bigger chance to defeat the Dutertes. His statement came after Vice Pres. Sara Duterte confirmed that she is running for president in the 2028 Elections.
Former Sen. Antonio Trillanes was subpoenaed by the House Justice Committee to attend the proceedings of the impeachment complaints against Vice Pres. Sara Duterte. He had several allegations against the Dutertes including their alleged receiving of “drug money”.

Trillanes accused members of the Duterte family for allegedly receiving drug money worth P181.6 million from a certain Sammy Uy. Recently, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte released a statement in response to the accusations of the former Senator against their family.

Through a statement posted on social media, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte stressed that former Sen. Antonio Trillanes’ accusations have allegedly not changed. She stressed that the former Senator is supposedly peddling “the same incredible story”.
“From 2016 to 2026, nothing in his narrative has changed. What has changed, however, is the machinery now backing him,” Duterte wrote.
According to Vice Pres. Sara Duterte, former Sen. Antonio Trillanes is allegedly supported “by a sitting President who must be compelled to submit to a simple drug test” as well as alleged “law-bender” members of the House of Representatives.

According to Vice Pres. Duterte, the series of attacks against her supposedly started when she left the Marcos Jr. Cabinet. She allegedly refused to sign a budget that she could not defend in front of the Filipino people. Here’s the statement of the Vice President:


Recently, former Sen. Antonio Trillanes reacted to Naga Mayor Leni Robredo announcing that she will not run for president in 2028. Her statement came after the former Senator criticized her alleged “nonchalant” stands towards the alleged possible threat of another Duterte presidency.
