Daniel Fernando became controversial in February because of a reported road rage incident
Bulacan Governor Daniel Fernando refused to speak about the road rage incident that involved the presidential son, Vinny Marcos.
To recall, veteran broadcaster Mon Tulfo claimed in his social media post that a high official physically assaulted Fernando because of how he acted after a car overtook his convoy.
Allegedly, the governor’s bodyguards took Vinny’s license and were surprised to learn he was a Marcos. Tulfo also claimed that Fernando sent an apology letter to the Malacanang Palace regarding the said incident.

During a recent interview on veteran journalist Susan Enriquez’s YouTube talk show, Gov. Daniel Fernando was asked about the reported road rage.
The actor-turned-politician jokingly answered the question about this. “Ma’am, huwag na nating pag-usapan yan,” he said. He added that the important thing for him is that people of Bulacan knew him.

“Ma’am, alam naman ng Bulakenyo at nasabi ko na po yung reason ko na let the Malacañang… yun na lang pahayag ng Malacañang, pahayag ng LTO, sabi ko, yun ang igalang natin. Okay na yan. Basta alam ng Bulacan kung sino si Daniel Fernando,” the governor said.
Stories surfaced that it was Interior and the Local Government (DILG) Secretary Jonvic Remulla who physically assaulted him after learning about the road rage incident.

Once again, the governor refused to comment on this. ”Ma’am, huwag na nating pag-usapan yan,” he said.
Meanwhile, in the same interview, Gov. Daniel Fernando also directly denied the rumors linking him to actress Kim Rodriguez. When their photo surfaced online 2 years ago, speculations surfaced that they are in a romantic relationship with each other. Previously, the politician already denied that he gave P 1 million to the actress.
