Sharon Cuneta wanted Leni Robredo to run for president
Megastar Sharon Cuneta asked Naga City Mayor Leni Robredo to reconsider her decision for the 2028 national elections.
Previously, Robredo stated that she is sure she will not run for a national position in 2028. However, her supporters have been urging her to run for president.
One of them was talent manager-vlogger Ogie Diaz. Unkabogable Star Vice Ganda also said in a recent statement that he is still rooting for Mayor Leni for the 2028 elections.
On Wednesday, April 29, Sharon Cuneta shared on her Instagram page a screenshot of an art card from GMA News saying that the former president is sure of her decision not to run for president in 2028.
“Dearest Ma’am Leni, PLEASE RECONSIDER… You are the one who can unite these different parties. You have proven na ipaglalaban niyo ang PILIPINAS,” the Megastar pleaded.
The actress-singer also said that she wished Robredo had a victory in 2022. “Please choose a great VP, ideally from where you will garner more support than ever before, and Kiko and I will go all-out for you po. Ma’am, mas madami na pong di hamak na umaasa sa inyo ngayon,” she added.
Sharon also said that she is praying that the former vice president and current mayor of Naga City will change her mind.
“Please, Ma’am Leni. We are all storming the heavens with our prayers for you to change your mind and run once more-just one more time po Ma’am, for President,” she stressed, adding that Robredo’s supporters are just waiting for her because they remain as “Kakampink” then and now.
“Mahal na mahal po namin kayo at patuloy na naniniwala sa katapatan at abilidad ninyo na patakbuhin at alagaan ang ating bansa,” the Megastar expressed.
Sharon added that many are now ready to extend support beyond what they gave before if Robredo would simply say that she will run in the next elections.
The actress-singer also said that their son, Miguel, is going to visit Mayor Leni Robredo in Naga to ask her again and remind her of what he told her during Kiko’s Victory Dinner last May.
