Missing Pet Dog in Negros Occidental Found Being Burned by Neighbor

A missing pet dog in Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental was found by its fur parent being burned by neighbor.

According to the dog’s owner, the pet was last seen alive on April 18, 2026. The family spent time looking for the dog and hoped it would safely return home. However, the following day, they were surprised after seeing the animal already being burned on top of hot charcoal at their neighbor’s place.

The neighbor reportedly explained that the dog was already dead when it was found. The animal was also said to be starting to smell, which was why the neighbor decided to burn the body.

Despite the explanation, the dog’s owner remains doubtful about the story. The family believes they should have been informed first, especially if the dog had already died. For them, the pet deserved to be returned and buried properly instead of being burned without their knowledge.

The owner is now determined to file a complaint against the neighbor. They are also planning to have the dog undergo an autopsy to find out the real cause of death. The results of the examination may be used as evidence in the case they plan to file under the Animal Welfare Act.

The incident quickly caught the attention of many people online, especially animal lovers who expressed sadness and concern over what happened to the dog. Many netizens also shared their support for the owner’s decision to seek justice and learn the truth behind the pet’s death.

For many fur parents, pets are treated like family, making situations like this painful and emotional.
