2 Men Roaming Near House Before Dawn Brought to Kalibo Police Station
Two men were brought to the Kalibo Municipal Police Station after they were seen roaming around near a house before dawn.
On the early hours of Thursday, April 30, 2026, the authorities arrest two men roaming near a house along Escabarte Road in Barangay New Buswang, Kalibo.
According to reports, the incident happened at around 2:00 a.m. when a concerned resident noticed the pair acting suspiciously near a residential area. Because of their unusual behavior, the resident decided to immediately inform the authorities.
Police later identified the two individuals as a 24-year-old man and a 14-year-old boy, both residents of Kalibo. Officers responded to the area and questioned them about why they were outside and lingering near the house at such a late hour.
During the investigation, the two reportedly explained that they were trying to collect a debt amounting to P200. Despite their explanation, authorities still brought them to the police station for proper verification and documentation after residents became alarmed by their actions.
Further investigation also revealed that the 14-year-old boy had previously been apprehended for violating curfew rules in the area. Authorities also learned that the minor had once been caught carrying a knife during an earlier incident.
Because the boy is still underage, police later escorted him back to his home and turned him over to his family. Meanwhile, the 24-year-old man remained under the custody of the Kalibo police for further investigation.
The incident happened in the middle of the night when most people were already asleep. Some residents expressed concern about safety and security in their neighborhood, while others reminded the public to avoid handling personal disputes during late hours to prevent misunderstandings or panic.
Authorities continue to encourage residents to immediately report suspicious activities in their communities to help maintain peace and safety, especially during nighttime hours when incidents can easily create fear among the public.
