Sen. Imee Marcos Speaks on Ties with PBBM amid Political Issues
IMEE MARCOS – The presidential sister and Senator claimed that her relationship with President Bongbong Marcos is allegedly “non-existent”.
It is no secret to the Filipino people that Sen. Marcos aligned herself with the Dutertes amid the political issues in the Philippines. It started when former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte was arrested and was flown to The Hague, Netherlands.

Following the controversial arrest of the former President, Sen. Imee Marcos left the senatorial slate of her brother. It was followed by the Presidential Sister joining local campaign rallies with Vice Pres. Sara Duterte.
Vice Pres. Duterte endorsed Sen. Marcos. Before the campaign period concluded, the PDP-Laban, former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte’s political party, adopted Sen. Marcos as one of its guest candidate.

However, in late 2025, countless Filipinos were surprised when Sen. Imee Marcos accused Pres. Bongbong Marcos of allegedly using illegal drugs and even dared him to a hair follicle drug test. She made her accusation in front of thousands of members of Iglesia ni Cristo during a rally.
Sen. Imee Marcos also went to The Hague and even expressed her hope that PBBM will hear the calls to bring former Pres. Duterte home. She led the Senate investigation on the arrest and the transfer of the custody of the former President to the International Criminal Court (ICC).

Sen. Imee Marcos claimed multiple times that she has not talked to Pres. Bongbong Marcos for a while now. Previously, she claimed that there are allegedly people who block the communication between her and his brother.
Recently, based on News5, Sen. Imee Marcos claimed that her relationship with Pres. Bongbong Marcos is allegedly “non-existent”. According to her, they are not seeing each other for almost a year now.
“I don’t really go to the reunion, it’s not comfortable. My kids go if they want to go,” the Senator said.

Based on the post, Sen. Imee Marcos also claimed that she loves Pres. Bongbong Marcos, her brother, but they have not really seen each other. Previously, amid the speculations on the health of the President, Sen. Imee Marcos claimed that no one is allegedly taking care of Pres. Bongbong Marcos.
“Of course, mahal ko siya, kapatid ko, pero I haven’t seen him in perhaps over a year now,” the Senator said.
