We don’t know what happens while we’re asleep, and recently, “It’s Showtime” host and Rocksteddy frontman Teddy Corpuz and his family became victims of robbery in their own home.

According to reports, the incident happened early Sunday morning, and the identified suspect took several valuable items, including gadgets and personal belongings. At the time of the incident, Teddy and his family were reportedly resting on the third floor of the house and were unaware that a robbery was already taking place downstairs.
“‘Pag umaga talaga, nagge-gaming ako sa umaga eh. So, ang lagi kong ginagamit, yung iPad ko. So, that time, hinahanap ko yung iPad ko sa sala. Bakit wala sa sala? So, tinignan ko sa Find My iPhone. Pagtingin ko, nasa pangatlong kanto namin. Yung iPad ko… Sabi ng misis ko, baka ano lang yan, baka nag-malfunction lang yung GPS,” he shared.
When he checked their CCTV, that was when he found out about the robbery incident that occurred. Many netizens expressed concern for the safety of Teddy and his family, while others were relieved that no one was harmed during the break-in.
On Thursday, May 7, Corpuz gave an update, and as per him, his tablet was returned to him by the brother of the suspect. The singer said, “Sana mahuli ‘yung magnanakaw, at maging vigilant pa rin tayo.”
Police have already identified the suspect and filed charges against him. Reports stated that the suspect had previously faced cases involving robbery and illegal possession of firearms in 2018. He is firm in pushing for the filing of charges against the suspect.
