Mixed Oil Price Adjustments Set on Tuesday (May 12, 2026)
FUEL PRICE UPDATE – Several gasoline stations in the country are expected to implement mixed oil price adjustments that are expected on Tuesday (May 12, 2026).
Motorists may experience another round of mixed fuel price changes next week as early movements in the global oil market show different trends for gasoline, diesel, and kerosene. Initial trading results suggest that gasoline prices could increase once again, while diesel and kerosene may become cheaper.
Based on the first few trading days, gasoline prices may go up by around one to four pesos per liter. Diesel, meanwhile, could drop by about six to eight pesos per liter, giving some relief to public transport drivers, delivery riders, and private vehicle owners who rely heavily on diesel. Kerosene prices are also expected to go down.

The expected increase in gasoline is reportedly being driven by stronger demand in countries experiencing the start of the driving season in the Northern Hemisphere. As more people travel during this period, gasoline demand becomes higher, causing prices to rise in the world market. Diesel, on the other hand, is currently facing weaker demand, which is helping pull prices down.
The possible rollback comes shortly after local oil companies implemented fuel price increases this week. Diesel prices rose by as much as P2.66 per liter, while gasoline increased by up to P2.21 per liter.
Oil firms are expected to announce their official fuel price adjustments on Monday, with the new prices set to take effect on May 12.

Meanwhile, the Department of Energy reminded the public that under the national state of energy emergency, authorities now have the power to limit fuel price increases and require minimum rollbacks when necessary.
