Celebrities reacted to this footage of Bato dela Rosa
On Monday, May 11, 2026, Senator Ronald Bato Dela Rosa was filmed running in the Senate building to evade agents from the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI).
Reportedly, the NBI agents were attempting to serve an International Criminal Court (ICC) arrest warrant related to his role in the Duterte administration’s drug war.
The said arrest warrant was the reason why Dela Rosa has been nowhere to be found since November 2025, and only appeared in the Senate on Monday, when pro-Duterte senators ousted Sen. Tito Sotto as the Senate President, and were replaced by Sen. Alan Peter Cayetano.
The Senate released CCTV footage showing Dela Rosa emerging from a parking lot and sprinting up the fire exit stairs. At one point, he stumbled on the stairs on his way up, but quickly recovered to reach the plenary hall.
Sen. Bato dela Rosa had an outburst in the plenary hall as he was telling the media that the NBI was trying to restrain him. When asked the reason for his appearance, he pointed out that when he was hiding, people had been asking him to attend the sessions, and now that he appears, people were still questioning him.

His viral CCTV footage showing how he ran from the NBI agents received comments from celebrities. Actress Bela Padilla questioned what right Dela Rosa had to shout at a woman reporter who was asking him questions.
In actor Jake Ejercito’s post on X, formerly Twitter, he asked Senator to have his “Strava reveal.”
Also on X, actress-singer Agot Isidro said that Dela Rosa was deceived by nature, following his statement that during his months of absence, he was with nature. Then, Agot mentioned viral footage. “Just saw the CCTV. We have a runner!!!“
In director Erik Matti’s Facebook post, he asked who released the CCTV footage. “Di nyo na ginalangsi Tobats!”
