Cayetano’s emotional speech was triggered by a privilege speech delivered by Senator Risa Hontiveros, who questioned the chamber’s seeming silence following the gun-related security breach, saying that the institution was acting as if nothing had happened.
Cayetano tearfully called out members of the opposition block, saying that none of her long-time colleagues checked on her well-being. “Hindi naman kayo nangumusta,” she said, and this went viral.
