Senior Citizen Injured After Alleged Robbery in Manila
A male senior citizen was injured after falling down following an alleged robbery incident along Ramon Magsaysay Avenue in Sta. Mesa, Manila.
On Monday evening, August 10, 2026, the Facebook page of the Manila City DRRM Department shared photos of a male senior citizen who was assisted by the Manila City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Department after sustaining injuries during the alleged robbery.
According to information shared by DRRMD, emergency responders rushed to help an elderly man who suffered injuries following the incident.
Initial reports showed that the victim was allegedly robbed by a suspect who grabbed his bag. During the struggle, the senior citizen lost his balance and fell to the ground. The fall caused him to suffer a head injury, leaving him in need of immediate medical attention.
in the photo, responders can be seen attending to the injured victim at the scene. Members of the agency’s medical team quickly provided first aid to help stabilize his condition before transporting him to the nearest hospital for further treatment.
Authorities also made sure that the incident was reported to the police so that an investigation could begin. Law enforcement officers are expected to gather information and review available evidence to identify and locate the suspect involved in the robbery.
As the victim continues to recover from his injuries, authorities are working to track down the person responsible.
