Thief Caught Stealing From Piso Net Shop After Running Out of Money for Online Gambling
BACOLOD CITY – A male thief was caught after stealing from a ‘Piso Net’ shop after running out of money for online gambling.
Recently, the Facebook page Bacolod KFive Station reported the incident, saying the man allegedly stole from the pisonet because he did not have enough money to place a bet on online gambling known as Scatter. The post quickly went viral and received various reactions from the online community.
According to reports shared by a local community news page, the man allegedly took money from a piso net machine after realizing he did not have enough cash to add funds to his online gambling account.
Many internet users expressed disappointment over how online gambling can push some individuals into making poor decisions, while others discussed the dangers of becoming too dependent on betting platforms.
The suspect admitted that he had been playing Scatter and planned to cash in P150 to continue gambling. However, he did not have enough money to complete the transaction. Because of this, he allegedly decided to take money from the piso net machine.
After getting the cash, the man reportedly went to a nearby stall and used the money to add funds to his account. However, his actions did not go unnoticed.
When he returned to the area, several residents confronted him. The situation became heated, and the suspect was reportedly physically assaulted by some people before authorities arrived. Reports stated that he was struck with a metal pipe after being caught.
Police later took the man into custody. However, he reportedly began feeling unwell while detained because of the injuries he suffered during the incident.
