Motorcycle Rider Who Committed an Indecent Act in Front of Female Joggers Has License Revoked
The LTO has revoked the driver’s license of a motorcycle rider who allegedly committed an indecent act in front of female joggers.
Recently, the Facebook page “The Land Transportation Office – Philippines” announced that the motorcycle rider involved in the incident had his driver’s license revoked. The announcement quickly went viral and received various reactions from netizens online.
The Land Transportation Office (LTO) has revoked the driver’s license of a motorcycle rider who was involved in a viral incident involving the alleged exposure of his private parts in front of a female pedestrian.
The LTO announced the decision after conducting an investigation and hearing regarding the complaint. The rider was previously issued a Show Cause Order following reports that he allegedly exposed himself to a woman while she was walking along a public road.
The jogger reportedly said that a man riding a motorcycle suddenly exposed himself before quickly leaving the area.
Reports also indicated that a similar incident may have involved the same rider. The case prompted the LTO to look into the matter and determine whether the rider remained fit to operate a motor vehicle.
During the hearing, the rider personally appeared before the LTO and confirmed that he was the person seen in the viral video. He also admitted that similar incidents happened twice. However, he claimed that he used a different motorcycle during those occasions and not the motorcycle involved in the LTO investigation.
Following its proceedings, the LTO declared the rider an Improper Person to Operate a Motor Vehicle. His driver’s license was then revoked for two years under the directive of LTO Chief Assistant Secretary Markus V. Lacanilao.
The motorcycle connected to the investigation remains under an alert status.
