Thief Appears to Go on Shopping Spree Inside Burglarized Rizal Home, Even Takes a Rosary
A thief was caught on camera stealing valuables and a rosary from a house inside a subdivision in Barangay Mahabang Parang, Binangonan, Rizal.
Authorities are searching for a man who was caught on CCTV breaking into a house inside a subdivision in Binangonan, Rizal, in the early hours of September 26. The suspect arrived outside the house shortly after 3:00 a.m. with nothing in his hands.
The thief slowly entered the property through the gate and began moving around the area unnoticed while the family inside was asleep.
The homeowner’s relative said the thief first took two folding bicycles from the garage. Although this part was not captured on camera, the bicycles were already missing when the family checked the property.
“Yung kaliwa kasi altar, binuksan din nya kumuha sya ng isang rosary. Hindi siya kumuha ng sumbrero na mumurahin, yung original ang kinuha niya. May mga pabango, damit, at mga original na sapatos kinuha. After niya mag-shopping sa taas, paglabas niya naka-jacket na siya na itim,” the homeowner’s sibling said.
The suspect was later seen wearing a black jacket, which was also believed to have been stolen from the house. After entering the residence, the man went up to the second floor and checked several unlocked rooms.
He then took a shopping bag and used it to collect different items that caught his attention. Among the valuables he allegedly stole were branded shoes, clothes, perfumes, and other personal belongings.
The family was also surprised to learn that the suspect did not spare their home altar. A rosary was reportedly taken along with the other items. Even an original hat was stolen while cheaper items nearby were left behind.
The suspect allegedly took an e-bike worth around P100,000 and used it as his getaway vehicle. He also managed to take approximately P20,000 in cash from a wallet and a piggy bank.
The homeowner’s mother, three grandchildren, and a household helper were all asleep inside the house. Relatives believe the situation could have been more dangerous if someone had woken up while the suspect was still inside.

The victims immediately sought help from the police and barangay officials after discovering the break-in. The Binangonan Police continue their follow-up operations as efforts to identify and arrest the suspect remain ongoing.
