Mixed Oil Price Adjustments Set on Tuesday (October 20, 2026)

FUEL PRICE UPDATE – Various gas stations in the country are set to implement mixed oil price adjustments starting this week.

Starting Tuesday, October 20, 2026, Filipino motorists can expect cheaper gasoline and kerosene, while diesel users will face another price increase at the pumps.

Shell Pilipinas Corp. announced that it will lower gasoline prices by P4.30 per liter and kerosene prices by P1.00 per liter. Meanwhile, diesel prices will increase by P2.60 per liter. The adjustments will take effect nationwide at 6 a.m.

Other oil companies had yet to release their price advisories as of press time, so the final adjustments may differ slightly depending on the retailer.

The latest changes came after another round of mixed movements last week. On October 13, gasoline prices increased by P1.56 per liter, while kerosene went up by P1.77. Diesel users, however, received a P3.01-per-liter rollback.

Industry sources pointed to rising freight costs as one reason behind the latest diesel increase. Earlier market projections also cited limited global diesel supplies and improved gasoline availability as factors affecting fuel prices.

Based on the reported estimates, gasoline prices could average around P88.60 per liter after the rollback, down from P92.90. Diesel prices, meanwhile, may reach an average of P94.25 per liter from P91.65.

Despite the expected relief for gasoline and kerosene users, fuel prices have recorded substantial net increases since the beginning of the year.

As of October 12, the year-to-date adjustments showed a net increase of P71.59 per liter for gasoline, P64.83 for diesel, and P61.99 for kerosene.

The gasoline rollback may help private vehicle owners manage their travel expenses, while the diesel hike could add pressure on public transport operators, delivery services, and businesses that rely on.
