Bea Borres Clears the Air on Missing Andrea Brillantes’ Event, Says They Are Still Friends
Content creator Bea Borres has broken her silence after netizens questioned the state of her friendship with actress Andrea Brillantes. In a Facebook post, Bea said the two of them have already talked and that her absence from a recent event does not mean they have drifted apart, according to ABS-CBN Entertainment.
Speculation grew after Andrea was seen with Danica Ontengco and Criza Taa at an event, while Bea was nowhere in sight. “Yes, Blythe and I already had a conversation about what happened, but that doesn’t mean we’re no longer friends,” Bea wrote, responding to claims that they were already “FO.”
Bea explained that she went out on Thursday and admitted that she overdid it, which she said was wrong since she already had plans lined up. These included the Zara Larsson concert, an event of Lucky Beauty, and a reserved table at a club that she never got to use. She said she was really looking forward to Halloween because she was not able to celebrate it last year while she was pregnant, but she was already feeling sick by October 31.
The mom of one shared that she had been preparing for the concert for months, with a custom-made outfit and advance hair and makeup bookings. Not wanting her tickets to go to waste, she gave them to Andrea’s sister instead.
“I hope people understand that me not showing up doesn’t automatically mean there’s an issue between me and my friends. Sometimes, things really are just as simple as they seem,” she said. She added that people may criticize her for her own actions, but asked them not to hold her responsible for other people’s choices or to create issues out of assumptions.
The rumors about the two have been going around for weeks. In September, Bea admitted that she had blocked Andrea on social media, though she stressed that their friendship did not end. Andrea, for her part, said on Fast Talk with Boy Abunda last October 30 that she and Bea already had a private conversation and that she will always have love for Bea and her daughter.
With both sides now saying they have talked, fans are hoping the online noise finally dies down. As Bea’s post reminds everyone, not every missed event is a sign of a broken friendship.
