Underwear-Clad Robbery Suspect Spotted Anew on CCTV in General Santos City

A man believed to be the same suspect behind an earlier robbery in General Santos City, where he was seen wearing nothing but his underwear, was caught on CCTV again prowling around a residential area.

Based on a GMA News report citing Efren Mamac of GMA Regional TV One Mindanao, the footage was taken on Friday night, October 30, 2026, outside a house in Purok 5, Barangay Conel.

In the video, the man could be seen slowly walking outside the house wearing only briefs while carrying a pair of slippers in his hand.

He eventually walked away without entering any of the houses in the area. However, barangay officials said the suspect may have found another target in a place where there are no CCTV cameras.

The same man was allegedly the one caught on camera last month entering a house in the city through a window. He reportedly took a bag and other items from a cabinet, carting away jewelry and belongings worth around ₱70,000, according to an earlier report.

At that time, the victim suspected that the thief wears only underwear as a modus so he can easily slip through narrow passages and escape.

Following his latest appearance on CCTV, the police vowed to intensify their manhunt against the suspect.

Police Major Robert Fores, spokesperson of the Police Regional Office 12 (PRO-12), said the regional director has ordered police officials in General Santos City to step up the search for the suspect because of his reported return to criminal activity, as stated in the Balitambayan report.

The identity of the suspect has yet to be established as of this writing. Authorities continue to track down his whereabouts so he can be arrested and held accountable.

Residents are advised to secure their doors and windows at night and to immediately report any suspicious person in their area to the barangay or the nearest police station.
