Ejay Falcon Concedes Defeat in Oriental Mindoro Congressional Race
EJAY FALCON – Oriental Mindoro Vice Governor Ejay Falcon has accepted his loss in the race for congressman in Oriental Mindoro.
Ejay Falcon has graciously accepted his loss in the congressional race for the 2nd District of the province in the recent elections. Despite the outcome, Falcon remains grateful and proud of the campaign he ran, emphasizing that his intentions were genuine and rooted in a deep desire to serve the people of Oriental Mindoro.
In a public statement following the official announcement of the results, Falcon congratulated the winning candidate, Congressman Alfonso Umali Jr., who secured re-election. Falcon acknowledged the democratic process and expressed his respect for the decision made by the Oriental Mindoreños. He also thanked his supporters and those who believed in his vision for the province.

“Nag desisyon na po ang Oriental Mindoreños, hindi man po pumabor sa inyong lingkod ang naging resulta pero masaya po ako na ibinigay po natin ang lahat ng ating makakaya para ipakita ang malinis nating intensyon na malingkod sa ating lalawigan. Iginagalang po natin at mapagkumbabang tinatanggap po ang desisyon na ito ng mamamayan,” Falcon said. He also emphasized that losing the election does not mean the end of his service to the people. He promised to continue contributing to the community in whatever capacity he can, even as a private citizen.
Falcon, a former actor turned politician, gained popularity for his strong grassroots approach and dedication to improving the lives of ordinary citizens. His transition into politics was seen by many as a move driven by a genuine desire to create change beyond the screen.

Meanwhile, in other election developments in Oriental Mindoro, actress-turned-politician Jennifer Mindanao-Cruz, popularly known as Ina Alegre, won unopposed as mayor of the municipality of Pola. She is married to PAOCC Undersecretary Gilbert Cruz. Her uncontested victory reflects her strong support base in the town.
In contrast, well-known singer-songwriter Lito Camo did not succeed in his bid for the mayoralty of Bongabong. Despite his popularity in the entertainment industry, the outcome showed that political success remains uncertain for celebrity candidates.
The recent elections in Oriental Mindoro reflect the people’s discernment and desire for leaders they believe can genuinely serve their communities.
