PDP adopted Imee Marcos and Camille Villar
Senatorial candidates Imee Marcos and Camille Villar are being endorsed by Partido Demokratiko Pilipino (PDP).
Imee and Camille were launched as part of the Alyansa Para sa Bagong Pilipinas lineup under the administration of President Bongbong Marcos. However, some issues surfaced between Imee and her younger brother.
It was because the female Senator opposed the arrest of former President Rodrigo Duterte as she and Vice President Sara Duterte are close friends and allies. VP Sara endorsed Imee’s senatorial candidacy.

In a campaign video, Sen. Imee Marcos even expressed that the government now is not administered by Marcos but by Romualdez and Araneta.
When it comes to Camille Villar, the President ordered the investigation of the issue regarding PrimeWater which is owned by the Villar family. In two sorties of Alyansa, Camille was not mentioned. However, after that, she was mentioned and endorsed once again by the President.
Based on a report from ABS-CBN News on Sunday, May 11, it was said that Partido Demokratiko Pilipino (PDP) adopted Sen. Imee and Camille Villar.
“Maria Imelda ‘Imee’ Marcos and Camille A. Villar were personally endorsed by Vice President Sara Zimmerman-Duterte. There is a need for more allies to protect the vice president from impeachment,” PDP said in an official statement.

The party believes that the two female senatorial candidates “demonstrate a dedication to addressing the needs of aspirations of the Filipino people” which is also its objective.
With this, PDP’s senatorial lineup is now complete with twelve (12) candidates. “The party shall deploy all available resources, logistical support and campaign infrastructure to advance the candidacy,” the party stated.
All members, officers, and supporters of PDP are being instructed to give full support to the senatorial candidacy of Imee Marcos and Camille Villar.
