Man Surrenders to Authorities After Stabbing Former Workmate in Quezon City
A man who reportedly stabbed his former workmate at a fast-food chain in Quezon City has surrendered to the authorities.
Recently, a 22-year-old man who stabbed his former coworker at a fast-food restaurant inside a mall along Tandang Sora Avenue, Barangay Sangandaan, Quezon City, has surrendered to authorities.
On May 7, 2025 (Wednesday), the suspect turned himself at the Barobo Municipal Station in Surigao del Sur, following efforts by the police to coordinate with his family and convince him to come forward.

“Madaling araw ng May 7 siya po ay sumuko sa Barobo Municipal Station… May 8 sinundo po siya ng ating mga operatiba ng QCPD,” Quezon City Police District spokesperson PCapt. Febie Madrid said.
The next day, operatives from the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) brought him back to Manila.
The stabbing incident happened on the night of May 3, 2025, and was captured by a CCTV camera. Footage showed the suspect repeatedly attacking the victim. Shockingly, just an hour after the crime, the suspect reported to his new job, where coworkers noticed scratches on his face and hands.
The next morning, police discovered the victim’s body. The store manager identified the suspect through the CCTV footage and an ID card he left at the scene.
Police reports revealed that the two men used to work together as partners in the store. Three weeks before the incident, the victim confronted the suspect about discrepancies in an inventory report.
The incident led to a heated argument and, eventually, the suspect’s dismissal from his job.
Investigators believe the suspect knew the victim’s schedule and waited for him to be alone during closing time.
According to his statement, he had been bullied at work, especially by the victim, which he said pushed him to commit the crime.
