Gas Stations to Impose Oil Price Rollback on Tuesday (May 13, 2025 )
FUEL PRICE UPDATE – Various gasoline stations have announced an oil price rollback for the second straight week starting May 13, 2025.
Filipino motorists will get another round of relief this week as fuel prices are set to drop again starting Tuesday. It marks the second consecutive week of price rollbacks, giving some breathing room to consumers amid fluctuating global oil trends.
Shell Pilipinas announced that they will lower the cost of gasoline by P0.30 per liter, diesel by P0.90, and kerosene by P1.25. The price changes take effect at 6 a.m. on Tuesday. Other fuel companies have not yet released their own adjustments but are expected to follow a similar trend.

These rollbacks come after last week’s reductions, which saw gasoline prices go down by P0.55 per liter, diesel by P0.65, and kerosene by P0.90. The back-to-back rollbacks shows the influence of global supply movements and economic developments abroad.
The Department of Energy’s Oil Industry Management Bureau earlier noted that international factors are playing a key role in the downward trend. One major reason is the recent decision by the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) to raise oil production levels for June.
At the same time, ongoing uncertainty in trade negotiations between the United States and China is affecting market sentiment and prices.

As of May 6, 2025, the year-to-date adjustment show a net increase of P3.13 per liter for gasoline and P3.00 for diesel. Kerosene, on the other hand, has recorded a net decrease of P2.00 per liter.
These price adjustments offer temporary relief for drivers and consumers, especially with kerosene commonly used in many Filipino homes.
