PAGASA Says Easterlies and Frontal Systems to Affect PH Weather Condition

PAGASA LATEST UPDATE – The state weather bureau reported that two weather systems will affect the country’s weather conditions.

On Saturday (May 10, 2025), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The easterlies and frontal system will affect the country’s weather conditions.

PAGASA weather specialist Obet Badrina reported that two weather systems will bring cloudy skies and rains across the country.

The easterlies are warm winds from the Pacific Ocean, and the frontal system is a region where cold and warm air masses meet.

“There’s a big chance there will be cloudy weather with rains in the area of Batanes. This is due to the frontal system, which may affect it,” Badrina said.

The frontal system will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Batanes.

Palawan will also experience isolated rain showers and thunderstorms… Most of the Visayas will also experience rain showers and thunderstorms,” Badrina explained.

The easterlies will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over the rest of the country.

The weather agency has advised the residents in the affected areas to take precautionary measures for possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

The coastal water condition throughout the country will be slight to moderate, according to PAGASA. No gale warning was raised over any parts of the country.
