2 Men Arrested After Robbing Female Rider in Tondo, Manila
Two men were arrested by the authorities after they robbed a 25-year-old female rider along Road 10 in Tondo, Manila.
On early Tuesday morning, April 7, 2026, the commotion quickly caught attention online after a video showed the suspects approaching the victim while vehicles were stopped, then forcibly searching her for valuables.
In the video, one of the men was seen threatening the rider with a knife, even pointing it near her neck. After taking her belongings, the suspects quickly fled the scene. Authorities wasted no time and launched a hot pursuit operation, which led to their arrest in Barangay 123 along Road 10. The two were later identified as brothers-in-law.

Police said witnesses in the area helped a lot in locating the suspects, as some of them recognized the men and pointed out where they might be hiding. Because of this, officers were able to track them down quickly.
The suspects managed to take a cellphone and around P20,000 in cash from the victim. According to her, the money was meant for household expenses, including electricity bills, and also included her recent salary and savings.
The victim shared that she was riding with her niece at the time. They had just come from selling goods at the fishport and were on their way home to Navotas when they decided to pass by Moriones Street to eat.
“Pambayad po talaga ’yon ng kuryente sa bahay po namin, ng bills. Tapos kasama po doon ’yong sahod ko no’ng araw na ’yon. Tapos ’yon po ’yong mga inipon ko,” the victim said.
That was when the suspects approached them and announced the hold-up, threatening to harm them if they refused.

Although the suspects are now in custody, the victim admitted that the experience left her deeply shaken. She recalled the fear she felt when the knife was pointed at her neck.
The two suspects are now detained at Raxabago Police Station and are facing robbery charges, while authorities continue to search for a third accomplice.
