Social media personality Kryz Uy updates social media but remains mum over the issues of Slater Young’s project that allegedly claimed lives in Cebu.
Kryz Uy’s return to social media was met with mixed reactions. There are people online who still remind her of her husband Slater Young’s involvement at the Monterrazas de Cebu hillside project. This project was accused of contributing to the massive floods caused by Typhoon Tino in the region.
Typhoon Tino claimed lives due to severe flooding. The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) has found several violations of Monterrazas.
Based on a previous article, Monterrazas faced criminal charges filed by the agency for the violation of Section 77 of Presidential Decree 705, or the Revised Forestry Code. It was discovered that over 700 trees were cut down without proper permission for the Monterrazas project, and the developer violated 10 of the 33 conditions in its ECC.
They are being bashed online because of their decision to remain mum about the matter, leading to accusations of them lacking in accountability.
For a time, Kryz went silent online, but last November, she started slowly breaking her social media hiatus. People online noticed she’s been posting about their lives, but without their faces. Recently, she started including her face, and the most recent one was a short video.
To some people, this indicated that she was testing the waters for a comeback in vlogging. Will she return to vlogging their simple yet elegant and comfortable life again without addressing the issue of her husband’s project that miserably affected a lot of lives in Cebu? When will they ever speak up and show accountability?
