Cavite Cong. Kiko Barzaga Speaks on Charges Filed against Him Following Fundraising for Bail
KIKO BARZAGA – The Cavite 4th District Representative expressed his hope that his supporters will help him post bail again the next time around.
Amid the political issues in the Philippine government, some congressmen have hooked the spotlight for speaking against the Marcos Jr. administration and the President himself. The government earned massive criticisms after the controversial multi-billion flood control scam broke out.

Cavite Cong. Kiko Barzaga is one of those who hooked supporters as he spoke against Pres. Bongbong Marcos and the government. Amid his tirades against the government, he was placed under suspension by the House of Representatives.
Barzaga was suspended by the House for 60 days over his “offensive” posts on social media. He called for the resignation of Marcos Jr. amid the flood control mess and even led a rally to make such call to the President.

Billionaire business magnate Enrique Razon also filed a cyberlibel complaint against Cong. Kiko Barzaga. The charges came after Barzaga accused the ports and casino magnate of allegedly bribing several congressmen so House Speaker Martin Romualdez will remain in the top post in the lower chamber.

Razon sued Barzaga for at least P110 million. The business magnate seeks P100 million in moral damages and P10 million in exemplary damages. His camp stressed that the remarks of the young Congressman has tainted his reputation.
Cavite Cong. Kiko Barzaga said he will personally apologize to Enrique Razon. According to him, his remarks were fueled by his personal grudge.
“I was actually looking forward to seeing him in my father’s funeral, but he was not there, so I was wondering why, and then eventually that turned into a personal grudge against Razon because I was wondering why, he was so close to my father, or my father believed he was so close to him, but he didn’t even bother to show up,” Barzaga said.

Recently, Cong. Kiko Barzaga revealed that there are still a lot of charges against him that are allegedly lining up. Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, the young solon hopes that his supporters will help him again in posting bail after he surrendered to the cyber libel complaints filed against him.
“Nakapag-fundraising naman agad. I’d like to thank all my supporters. And para sa mga hindi nakatulong sa fundraising namin po, madami pa namang kaso. And hopefully, tulungan niyo ako makapagpiyansa next time,” Barzaga said.
According to Cong. Kiko Barzaga, he was allegedly able to gather around Php 400,000 from his supporters who helped him post bail. Based on the report, he surrendered to the authorities after the court issued an arrest warrant against him over the eight counts of cyber libel case filed by Enrique Razon against him.
After surrendering to the authorities, Cong. Kiko Barzaga has “slammed “patutsada” against Pres. Bongbong Marcos.
