Robin Padilla had this statement about Bato dela Rosa
Senator Robin Padilla expressed that he is ready to defend and help Senator Ronald Bato dela Rosa.
To recall, Dela Rosa began hiding and not joining the Senate sessions after Ombudsman Jesus Crispin “Boying” Remulla confirmed that the International Criminal Court (ICC) had an arrest warrant against him.
In a Senate report on April 8, it was stated that Dela Rosa had the most absences in the Senate session due to his hiding.

But even though the senator, who is a known ally of the Duterte family, is already facing an ethics complaint, Ethics Committee Chairman JV Ejercito said that it is possible that the complaint against Dela Rosa will be dismissed because the Senate does not have a law regarding “no work, no pay.”
On the other hand, Ejercito appealed to Dela Rosa to just waive his salary and observe the “no work, no pay” policy, as ordinary workers would follow. An earlier report stated that Dela Rosa continues to receive his salary worth P237,000.
In a recent statement, based on the article in Bandera, Sen. Robin Padilla said that he advised Sen. Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa to go into hiding to avoid arrest by the International Criminal Court (ICC).

The action star and public servant spoke again about the possibility of Dela Rosa’s arrest, due to his involvement in former President Rodrigo Duterte’s anti-illegal drugs campaign.
Dela Rosa is one of those named by the ICC as one of Duterte’s partners in the war on drugs through Oplan Tokhang, which caused the deaths of many Filipinos.
The actor-turned-politician said that he personally told Bato to hide in case the situation worsened.
“Hindi ko naman tinitingnan na absent ’yon kasi culprit din ako do’n. Ako nagsabi na, ‘Pare, magtago ka muna! “Kasi ang iniiwasan ko, kapag siya ay hinuli sa Senate at nandoon ako, mamamatay na kaming dalawa du’n. Kung kukunin siya ng dayuhan doon, sa akin personal ’to. Foreigner ’to, eh,” Sen. Robin Padilla said.
