Family Shares Eerie Encounter w/ Alleged “Aswang” in Palawan
A family in from Barangay Iraan in Rizal, Palawan shared a frightening story about an alleged aswang roaming around their home at night.
The woman, identified only as “Alyas Hainah,” spoke about the strange experiences their family had been facing for several months. According to her, the unusual incidents first happened in May 2025 when her father, who had suffered a stroke, nearly became a victim of the mysterious creature.
Hainah said her father suddenly felt someone grabbing his foot while he was resting. When he looked, he allegedly saw a strange-looking being with glaring eyes, drooling mouth, and a terrifying appearance.
The experience left their family shocked and scared, especially because her father was still recovering from his illness at that time.
The family thought the incident would end there, but another frightening experience reportedly happened again on the night of Monday, April 27, 2026.
Hainah shared that she suddenly heard her father shouting loudly from inside their home. When they checked on him, he claimed that the same creature had touched his head while he was lying down.
Hainah immediately crushed garlic and spread salt around her father, believing these could help protect them from evil spirits. After doing so, they allegedly heard strange noises coming from outside their house, making the situation even more terrifying for the family.
Meanwhile, Barangay Captain Samuel Serna said that no official report about the alleged aswang had been filed in their barangay. However, he assured residents that their local officials would stay alert and continue monitoring the situation while an investigation is ongoing.
Some expressed fear and concern for the family, while others remained doubtful and believed there could be another explanation behind the incident.
