Owner Expresses Frustration After Casket Was Stolen From Funeral Home in Zamboanga del Norte
A casket was reportedly stolen from a funeral home in Tampilisan, Zamboanga del Norte, according to the owner.
Kenneath Babas Cubol, the owner and manager of the funeral home, shared that they were shocked by the incident. He explained that in their line of work, items like caskets are not usually targets of theft.
A lot of people would even ask if such items could ever be stolen, and they would often answer that it was something that rarely, if ever, happens.

The management said they never thought it would reach a point where even a casket could be taken. They also shared that they have always been willing to help families in need, especially those who are struggling to afford funeral services.
As of this writing, the people behind the incident have not yet been identified. Authorities are continuing their investigation to find out who was responsible and how the casket was taken.
Despite the loss, the funeral home chose to express a calm and understanding message. While the situation caused them financial strain, they still hoped that the casket may have helped a family in need, even if it was taken in the wrong way.
