Man Taken In Out of Kindness Turns Out to Be a Thief
A man in Barangay Sta. Monica, Puerto Princesa City was arrested after allegedly stealing a wallet and cellphone from the person who had taken him in out of kindness.
Recently, Jesfer Radoc Sabanes, a Facebook user, shared a video of the man he had helped and given shelter to. The post quickly went viral and received various reactions from the online community.
According to witnesses, the victim had taken the man in out of kindness. They offered him shelter because they felt sorry for his situation. However, the act of goodwill reportedly ended in betrayal when the suspect allegedly stole two cellphones and a wallet from the household.
One of the witnesses, MonicaLyn Sabanes, shared that the victim immediately noticed the missing items and chased the suspect. With the help of nearby residents, the man was eventually caught after a brief pursuit within the area.
People who witness the incident said the situation felt intense, as the suspect tried to escape but was quickly surrounded. The residents then held him until authorities could take over the situation.
Further information revealed that the suspect may have already been involved in a previous theft case. This detail added to the frustration of the victims and the community, especially since he had been trusted and helped before the incident.
