Vice Pres. Sara Duterte Returns to The Hague Following Approval of Overseas Trips
SARA DUTERTE – The Vice President is now back in The Hague, Netherlands to visit her father, former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte.
The office of Pres. Ferdinand Marcos Jr. recently approved the rescheduled overseas trips of Vice Pres. Duterte. The Vice President was initially set to travel abroad from April 23 to May 15 but the plans were changed allegedly due to the “last-minute” issuance of her travel permit.

Then, the Vice President was set to the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, and the Republic of Korea as per Executive Secretary Ralph Recto. The statement of the Palace immediately earned a reaction from the Vice President.
“Ensuring the confidentiality and proper handling of sensitive documents would greatly contribute to maintaining effective security arrangements,” Duterte said.

Vice Pres. Sara Duterte then gave the Palace a heads up that she will be seeking for another travel authority. The office of Pres. Bongbong Marcos approved the rescheduled trips of Duterte which runs from May 2 to May 15.
Currently, the Vice President is back in The Hague where former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte remains detained. The former Chief Executive is detained under the custody of the International Criminal Court (ICC) since March 2025.

It has been several weeks since Duterte was in The Hague to visit the former President. She visited the former President following the confirmation of charges hearing. All Duterte siblings did not watch the said ICC hearing.
Based on a post of Alvin & Tourism on social media, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte has entered the ICC detention facility to visit former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte. Her visit came after the House of Representatives’ Committee on Justice found probable cause to impeach the Vice President.


Based on the post on social media, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte was with her personal bodyguard who gained social media attention as “Kateyki” for his handsome aura. On the impeachment moves against her, the camp of Vice Pres. Sara Duterte claimed that she’s willing to appear before the Senate impeachment trial if she will be required.
