The stolen money was supposed to be used for a child’s tuition and enrollment expenses. The family said they were preparing to enroll their child that day when they discovered the theft.
After taking the valuables, the suspect quickly left the area. Investigators learned that he passed through the house gate, which had been left unlocked. Despite the loss, the family expressed relief that no one was harmed during the incident.
The victims immediately reported the matter to barangay officials and the police. Authorities believe the suspect may have observed the family beforehand because of how confidently he moved inside the house.
Barangay officials reminded residents to remain alert and avoid becoming too comfortable with their security measures, as criminals often study the routines of their targets.

Parang minanmanan na po talaga, Pagkanamanmaman kayo nyan, pag-aaralan ang mga kilos niyo, huwag po magpakampante,” Barangay NBBS Kaunlaran Desk Officer Whillie Rivera.
Police and local officials have begun reviewing CCTV footage from nearby areas to trace the suspect’s movements and identify him. The victims have also expressed their intention to file a formal complaint once the suspect is located.
