Vegetable Vendor Gets Emotional After P50,000 Allegedly Withdrawn From Her Bank Account
A vegetable vendor was left devastated and emotional after someone allegedly withdrew her money from her bank account without her knowledge.
Recently, the Facebook page Zarraga News LIVE Station shared a video of the woman crying after losing the money she had worked hard to save. The post quickly went viral and received various reactions from netizens.
A vegetable vendor from Jaro, Iloilo City, was left devastated after discovering that the P50,000 she had saved in her bank account had allegedly been withdrawn by another person without her knowledge.
The woman, identified as 37-year-old Nema Moreno, lives in Barangay Lanit, Jaro, with her husband and children. She earns money by growing and selling vegetables. According to the report, the family had been saving money to help support their child’s college education.
Moreno opened a bank account at BDO Tagbak Jaro Branch inside CityMall in June 2026. She initially deposited P12,000 and received a passbook and ATM card. She later added P8,000 that same month.
In July, she made two more deposits worth P20,000 and P10,000, bringing her total savings to P50,000.
On August 22, 2026, Moreno withdrew P3,000 from her account. She was shocked to find that her balance was already zero.
She immediately asked the bank to check what happened. When her account records and passbook were reviewed, the transactions reportedly showed that withdrawals were made through an ATM on the same dates that she deposited money.
Moreno said she never allowed anyone else to use or keep her ATM card and that she had always kept it in a safe place. The sudden loss of their savings has caused great distress for her and her family.
She is now asking the bank’s management to investigate the transactions and help recover the P50,000 that the family worked hard to save.
