Ping Lacson received this accusation
Senator Ping Lacson could no longer hold back against those criticizing him and calling him “bading.”
This came after the senator stated that his critics should keep quiet, especially since his cousin, former House Speaker Martin Romualdez, was already arrested.
It will be recalled that the Sandiganbayan Third Division charged Romualdez with plunder due to his alleged involvement in anomalous flood control projects.
“Let the trial proceed and let the evidence speak. Most importantly, the former speaker is now given his day in court,” Sen. Ping Lacson stated.
However, based on the article in Bandera, one netizen dared to comment and targeted the senator’s gender preference.
“You don’t know me, and I don’t know you. I’ll say it again – kung ako bading, wala ka nang makitang macho sa mundo,” the former chief of the Philippine National Police (PNP) stressed.
In an X (formerly Twitter) post on Monday, September 7, the Senator stated that the trial should be allowed to proceed and the evidence to come to light.
This isn’t the first time Lacson’s gender has been singled out for criticism. At the height of the tension between him and Sen. Imee Marcos regarding the issue of “allocables” in January 2026, the female senator told Lacson that she might end up in a hair-pulling fight with him.
“At kung iniisip ni Sen. Imee na bakla ako, wala siyang maaaring makita na macho dito sa mundo,” Sen. Ping Lacson stated.
Meanwhile, in July, Lacson made a strong accusation against Sen. Alan Peter Cayetano. Lacson claimed that Cayetano was involved in anomalous flood control projects in Taguig City. Cayetano strongly denied the accusation against him.
The former PNP chief even stated that there will be no ceasefire for him in exposing the flood control anomalies in Taguig. It was also said that Cayetano’s younger brother, Lino Cayetano, is willing to assist the investigation. .
