Woman Tries to Take Salted Egg From Store in Taguig City
A woman was caught on camera after allegedly attempting to steal a salted egg from a sari-sari store in Taguig City.
On Saturday (September 5, 2026), Arnel Arcosa, a Facebook user, shared a video of a woman attempting to steal a salted egg from a sari-sari store. The video quickly circulated online and garnered various reactions from the online community.
Based on the video, the woman first approached the store and asked the vendor if tomatoes were available for sale. After being informed that there were no tomatoes in stock, she appeared ready to leave.
However, before walking away, she allegedly picked up a salted egg from the display without asking permission.
The store owner later noticed the woman’s actions through a monitor connected to the shop’s CCTV system. Realizing that an item had been taken, he immediately went after her outside the store.
The video showed the vendor recovering the salted egg from the woman. The situation became tense as he confronted her after catching her in the act. Fortunately, the incident did not escalate further, and the item was returned.
The store owner later shared that he felt disappointed by what happened. According to him, the situation could have been avoided if the woman had simply asked for help. He explained that there are times when store owners are willing to assist people who are struggling, especially when they approach others honestly.
