Man Attacked by Swarm of Wild Bees While Removing a Tree Branch
A man was injured after being chased and repeatedly stung by a swarm of wild bees in San Fernando, Camarines Sur.
On Sunday (September 8, 2026), the frightening incident happened while the victim was cleaning an area near his home. Reports said he was trying to remove a tree branch when he accidentally disturbed a group of wild bees hiding nearby.
The insects became aggressive and swarmed the man. Despite his efforts to run away, the bees continued to chase and attack him. A video taken during the incident showed the victim running and screaming in pain as he tried to escape the relentless swarm.

Several residents attempted to help him. Among them was a member of the San Fernando Public Safety Office (PSO), who rushed to the scene and tried to drive away the bees using a piece of cardboard.
However, the bees also turned their attention to the rescuer, forcing him to retreat for his own safety.
The incident caused panic in the community as the swarm spread across the area and even reached the national highway. Some business owners reportedly closed their stores temporarily to avoid being attacked by insects.
According to local vlogger Boss Miguel Vlog, who recorded the incident, the bees were finally driven away through the quick action of a woman living nearby. She reportedly poured a bucket of water over the victim, which helped stop the attack and allowed him to get away safely.
Witnesses said the man suffered numerous bee stings on different parts of his body, including his face and arms. The swelling became noticeable shortly after the attack, showing the severity of the incident.
As of this writing, no additional information has been released regarding the victim’s current condition. Authorities and residents are reminding the public to be cautious when working near trees and areas where wild bees may be present.
