Male Customer Punches Store Vendor Over Delayed Mobile Load in Kalibo
A male customer allegedly punched a store vendor in the head over a delayed mobile load transaction in Kalibo, Aklan.
On Monday afternoon (September 14, 2026), the 51-year-old complainant went to a store along Oyotorong Street to buy mobile load. After waiting for several minutes, he noticed that the load had still not been credited to his phone.
The customer then reminded the vendor about the transaction, hoping to get an update on its status. Reports revealed that the amount for the load had already been deducted from the vendor’s GCash account, but the mobile load had yet to arrive on the customer’s phone.

The delay reportedly caused frustration on both sides and eventually led to a heated argument. As tensions rose, the disagreement turned physical. The vendor allegedly punched the customer on the right side of the head during the confrontation.
The complainant then fought back by grabbing a piece of wood and striking the vendor’s hand.
Several people in the area quickly stepped in to stop the fight before the situation could become even worse. Their intervention prevented further injuries and helped calm both parties.
The complainant suffered a large wound on his head as a result of the incident. He immediately sought medical treatment at a hospital to have his injury checked and treated.
After receiving medical attention, the injured man proceeded to the Kalibo Municipal Police Station to formally report the incident. Authorities documented the complaint and began looking into the circumstances that led to the altercation.
