DOLE Hotline 1530 Now Open — What Workers Can Report and How It Works

DOLE HOTLINE 1530 – Workers who have problems with unpaid wages, illegal dismissal or unsafe working conditions now have a new and easy-to-remember number to call, as the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) officially launched Hotline 1530 on Monday, November 2, 2026.

Labor Secretary Francis Tolentino said the hotline is part of the government’s effort to make DOLE services more accessible and responsive to Filipino workers, Remate Online reported.

Why “1530”?

The number was chosen to make it easy for workers to remember. It refers to the 15th and 30th of the month, the traditional paydays of most Filipino employees.

Back in October, Tolentino already hinted that the four-digit hotline was coming. In a radio interview on October 21, he said the number was designed to be memorable and that technical preparations, including the hotline’s network infrastructure, were still being finalized at that time, according to the Daily Tribune.

What You Can Report Through DOLE Hotline 1530

Based on the DOLE announcement, workers may call the hotline to file a complaint or ask for information about the following:

  • Unpaid salaries and benefits
  • Illegal dismissal
  • Violations of labor standards
  • Occupational safety and health concerns
  • Help in looking for a job
  • Questions about the different programs and services of DOLE

Heat Concerns Amid El Niño

With the threat of El Niño, the hotline may also be used for concerns about safe working conditions, especially for workers exposed to extreme heat such as those in agriculture and construction. DOLE earlier released guidelines to protect workers from heat-related illnesses as the effects of El Niño intensify.

What Happens After You Call

According to Tolentino, concerns received through Hotline 1530 will be referred to the appropriate DOLE regional or field office for action.

“Karapat-dapat pakinggan at tulungan ang bawat manggagawang Pilipino, ika-15 man, ika-30, o anumang araw sa pagitan,” the labor chief said. (Every Filipino worker deserves to be heard and helped, whether on the 15th, the 30th, or any day in between.)

Before calling, it helps to prepare basic details about your concern, such as your employer’s name and address, the dates involved, and documents like your payslips or employment contract.

DOLE’s official website also lists Hotline 1349, available Monday to Friday from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM, as one of its contact channels.
