Family Expresses Frustration After Donation Money Gets Stolen From Wake in Boracay
A family in Boracay was left saddened and disappointed after donation money intended for a funeral was allegedly stolen during a wake.

According to information shared by relatives of the deceased, the donation box contained financial contributions from friends, neighbors, and other people who wanted to help the family during their time of loss. These donations were supposed to be used for funeral and burial expenses.
However, an unidentified individual allegedly targeted the donation box while the wake was being held in a barangay on Boracay Island in the municipality of Malay. Reports stated that the suspect had made a hole in the box and took the money that had been placed inside.
The family was deeply affected by the incident, especially because they were already dealing with the pain of losing a loved one. Instead of focusing solely on mourning and preparing the burial, they also had to face the distress caused by the theft.
