2 Men Injured After Dispute Over Noisy Motorcycle Exhaust
Two men were injured after they were allegedly beaten by five individuals following an argument over a noisy motorcycle exhaust in Lezo, Aklan.
On Sunday (October 4, 2026), the victims were identified only by their aliases, “Moros,” 33, and “Randy,” 37, both residents of Sitio Centro, Barangay Silakat-Nonok.
According to police reports, the two men had come from Barangay Agcawilan after dropping off a companion. They were reportedly riding a motorcycle and passing through the area when the incident took place.

At the time, five young men were said to be hanging out nearby. Authorities learned that the group became irritated by the loud sound of the motorcycle’s exhaust. Reports also indicated that the motorcycle had been passing through the area several times, which further annoyed the individuals gathered there.
The group allegedly confronted the two riders. What started as a verbal exchange quickly turned into a heated argument. The confrontation later escalated into a physical fight, leaving the two victims with injuries.
Police said both sides were believed to have been under the influence of alcohol during the incident, which may have contributed to the tension and misunderstanding.
The incident was reported to the Lezo Municipal Police Station at around 1:00 a.m. Officers responded and conducted an initial investigation into what had happened.
The two victims were brought to a hospital for treatment after suffering bruises and injuries to their faces and other parts of their bodies. Fortunately, their injuries were not reported to be life-threatening.
Instead of pursuing a formal legal case, both parties later agreed to settle the matter through the Barangay Justice System. Local authorities are expected to handle the issue and help the involved individuals reach a proper resolution.
