Laundry Worker Found Dead in Sack in Talisay City, 2 Suspects Arrested
A laundry worker was allegedly killed and abused after refusing to lend money to the suspects in Talisay City, Negros Occidental.
On Tuesday evening, October 13, 2026, the body of a 33-year-old laundry worker was found inside an animal-feed sack. Police are investigating the case after two men allegedly admitted to killing and sexually assaulting the victim.
The woman’s body was discovered near a creek at Hacienda Santa Catalina in Barangay Dos Hermanas after two men working at a nearby farm reported a foul smell coming from the area.
Responding police officers found the body inside the sack and began investigating the circumstances surrounding the discovery. Investigators reportedly became suspicious of the two men because the location was more than a kilometer away from the farm where they worked.
The two were later considered persons of interest in the case. According to the police report, they eventually admitted to attacking the woman with a wooden club, tying her up, and sexually assaulting her.
The victim worked as a laundry worker at the same farm where the two suspects were employed. Investigators believe the incident may have started after the woman allegedly refused to lend money to the men.
Police also reported that the suspects admitted to using illegal drugs. However, authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances and evidence surrounding the crime.
The victim’s live-in partner said she had been missing since October 8, several days before her body was discovered. Her disappearance had left her loved ones without information about her whereabouts until the tragic discovery.
Authorities are preparing to file murder charges against the two suspects, while investigators are still determining the possible filing of a separate rape case.
Police continue to handle the case as they gather evidence and complete the necessary legal procedures. The allegations against the suspects will be addressed through the proper legal process as the investigation moves forward.
