Cosmetic Surgeon Accompanied by Lawyer Visits NBI in Cristina Perez Case
A cosmetic surgeon involved in the case concerning the death of Cristina Perez, mother of Filipino-American reality TV personality Ronn Tristan Perez, has visited the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) to address the complaint filed against them.
NBI Director Atty. Melvin Matibag confirmed to members of the media that the surgeon, accompanied by a lawyer, had contacted the agency the previous week. The surgeon reportedly agreed to provide a statement and submit evidence as part of the investigation.
Matibag assured the surgeon that the NBI would conduct a fair investigation and give all parties an opportunity to present their side. The agency has yet to announce the findings of its investigation into Cristina’s death.
Cristina underwent several cosmetic procedures, including a tummy tuck, liposuction, and an arm-tightening procedure, at a clinic in San Juan City. However, she died on March 2, 2026, following the procedures.
Seeking answers about his mother’s death, Ronn traveled from the United States to the Philippines and personally brought the matter to the NBI on September 10, 2026. He is seeking to determine the actual cause of her death and ensure that those responsible, if any, are held accountable.
As of the latest development, Ronn has not publicly commented on the surgeon’s visit to the NBI. However, he has acknowledged the emotional and financial challenges his family faces as they prepare for a possible legal battle over the circumstances surrounding his mother’s death.
In a statement shared through GoFundMe, Ronn explained that the upcoming legal proceedings have placed additional pressure on his family and made it more difficult for them to grieve. Despite these challenges, he believes pursuing the case is something his family must do for his mother.
Ronn also remembered Cristina as a loving and generous person who consistently showed kindness to others. He expressed gratitude for the support and sympathy their family has received, saying the outpouring of love reflects the positive impact his mother had on her friends and loved ones.
