CIDG Nabs Vietnamese National, Two Filipina Assistants Over Alleged Illegal Nose Surgery in Pasay City
A Vietnamese national and two Filipina assistants were arrested after they were allegedly caught performing cosmetic surgery inside a house that had been turned into a secret clinic in Pasay City.
According to the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG), the operation was carried out by its Southern Metro Manila District Field Unit at around 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, in Barangay 152, Pasay City. The CIDG disclosed the arrest on Thursday, October 29, as reported by Abante TNT.

The suspects were identified only by their aliases. The alleged main suspect is “Hein,” a 32-year-old Vietnamese national, while his two employees were identified as “Rina” and “Sam.”
Authorities said the three were reportedly caught in the act of performing a rhinoplasty, a procedure that changes the shape of the nose, on a patient inside the house.
When asked, the suspects allegedly failed to show any license or legal authorization from the concerned government agencies allowing them to carry out such a medical procedure.
Operatives also seized surgical instruments and other medical equipment that were allegedly being used in the operation.
The suspects may face charges for violation of the Medical Act of 1959, the law that regulates the practice of medicine in the Philippines, according to the report citing the CIDG.
This is not the first time that the CIDG has arrested foreign nationals over unlicensed cosmetic procedures in Metro Manila. In June 2025, two Vietnamese nationals were arrested in an entrapment operation at a beauty lounge in Makati City for allegedly doing nose augmentation and other procedures without a license from the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), based on a report by Pilipino Star Ngayon.
The public is reminded to have cosmetic and other medical procedures done only by licensed doctors in accredited clinics, as unlicensed operations may put the lives and health of patients at serious risk.
