Muntinlupa Mayor Ruffy Biazon Personally Faces the Two Young Men Seen Slapping a Sleeping Man on an Alabang Footbridge in a Viral Video

Muntinlupa City Mayor Ruffy Biazon personally confronted the two young men behind a viral video that showed them slapping a man who was sleeping on a footbridge in Alabang.

The pair, aged 18 and 19, were allegedly filming the act for online content. Biazon talked to the two and shared a photo of their meeting on his official Facebook page, saying some things should never be turned into content, especially at the cost of another person’s dignity and welfare.

According to a report by Politiko, the two reportedly claimed that the man had thrown stones at them while they were shooting a rap music video. The mayor did not accept the explanation, stressing that hitting a defenseless person is never justified.

“Hindi na kayo bata!” Biazon reportedly told the pair, reminding them that as adults, they are now legally accountable for their actions.

“Hindi pwedeng puro siga-sigaan sa video, tapos kapag hinarap na sa totoong buhay ang consequences ng mga kalokohan, saka kayo mag-iisip at manghihingi ng tawad,” the mayor added. He pointed out that they cannot act tough on camera and only show remorse once real consequences arrive.

Biazon ordered the two to issue a public apology on social media, the same platform where the video spread. He also said the city will not tolerate lawlessness, intimidation or anyone who acts as if they are above the law.

Local police and barangay officials were instructed to keep a close watch on the pair. The mayor warned that any further violation would be met with full legal action, and that they would go straight to jail if there are proper legal grounds.

The video drew anger from netizens, many of whom criticized pranks and stunts that target vulnerable people for views. The incident came in the same week that the National Council on Disability Affairs warned content creators against exploiting persons with disabilities for content.
